'''Bora''' (μπόρα greke, "era e ftohtë", "rrebesh e ftohtë" e veri, fjalë për fjalë "Veriut" ; por mundet që vjen edhe nga shqipja apo ilirishtja si ere e shkaktuar nga era që krijohet nga [[Bora]]) është një erë e thatë, të ftohtë dhe i hazdisur bien në mes Triestes dhe Kvarner dhe [[Istria]]s dalmat dhe [[Mali i Zi|Malit të Zi]] bregdetin e [[Adriatik]]ut.

Erërat nga lloji bora përfshijnë frekuencën e tyre dhe me shpejtësi te larta mesatare e tyre, veçanërisht në mes Triestes dhe veriperëndim bregdetin e Kroacisë dhe të pjesëve të [[Dalmacia|Dalmacisë]] jugore dhe Malit të Zi, më të fortë në botë. Shpejtësi me madhemund të arrijë vlera deri në 250 km/h.
