Rreshti 16: Grupi përbëhet nga 13 ishuj kryesore, 5 ishuj të vegjel, dhe 107 shkëmbinj ishullore. Ishujt janë të vendosur në kryqëzim Triple Galapagos. Ajo është gjithashtu maja me e nxehtë e ishujve Galapagos, një vend ku korja e tokës është ende duke u shkrirë , duke krijuar keshtu vullkan. Ishulli më i vjetër mendohet të jete formuar reth 5 deri 10 milion vite më parë. Ishujt më të rinj, Isabela dhe Fernandina, janë ende duke u formuar.
