Disa gazeta, revista dhe organizata të tjera lajmesh organizojnë faqe të tyre në internet që ata i quajnë blogje. Këto mund të jenë burime të pranueshme nëse shkrimtarët janë profesionistë, po përdorini ato me kujdes, sepse blogu nuk mund t'i nënshtrohet procesit normal të kontrollit të fakteve të organizatës së lajmeve. Nëse një organizatë lajmesh publikon një pjesë të mendimit në një blog, atribuojani deklaratën shkrimtarit (p.sh. "Jane Smith shkroi ...").
