Ing. Ilirian Kuka was born in Tirana, ALBANIA on October 14th, 1969. Mr. Kuka grew up in Tirana and after completing university he moved to Bari, Italy and later on to Boston, Massachusetts in the USA for continuing his education and furthering his career. He speaks fluently English, Italian and Albanian.

On May 25th, 2024 Mr. Ilirian Kuka was accredited by the President of Hungary H.E. Tamás Sulyok as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to Hungary.

Prior to this appointment Mr. Kuka was accredited on December 6th, 2018 by the President of the Czech Republic H.E. Ing. Miloš Zeman, as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania to the Czech Republic serving in such capacity for the period December 2018 - to December 2023.

He is a respected public servant and businessman who has worked and managed different global and multinational companies. He joined Albanian Foreign Service in 2014 as Counselor for Business, Commercial, and Cultural Affairs at the Embassy of Albania in Prague. Prior to this he founded and worked for an investment group which has helped build different companies and brands that successfully continue to operate in the Western Balkan region. From 2005 to 2007 he was General Director of Albtelecom, Albania’s state-owned telecom operator, which was privatized in 2007 to private investors. Prior to his engagements in Europe, Mr. Kuka worked in different management roles for multinational companies based in the USA. From 2001-2005 he worked for The Gillette Corporation. In 2005 he continued to work for Procter & Gamble Company after they completed the acquisition of The Gillette Inc. In the years 1997 - 2001 he worked for State Street Corp., Babson College etc. Mr. Kuka holds the title Doctor of Sciences in Engineering from the University of Bari, Italy where in 1997 he completed his studies in Electronic Engineering, specialized in Telecommunications. He had graduated in 1993 from University of Tirana in Albania with an Electronic Engineering Degree, specialized in Applied Electronics.
