Otodus është një gjini e zhdukur e peshkaqenëve skumbri që jetuan në epoka e Paleocenit deri në epokën e Pliocenit. Emri Otodus vjen nga greqishtja e lashtë ὠτ (ōt, që do të thotë "vesh") dhe ὀδούς (odoús, që do të thotë "dhëmb") - pra, "dhëmb në formë veshi".
