Isador Coriat

Isador Henry Coriat (10 dhjetor 1875 – 26 maj 1943) ishte psikiatër dhe neurolog amerikan me prejardhje marokene. Ai ishte një nga psikoanalistët e parë amerikanë.^[1]

Ai ishte djali i Hyram Coriat dhe Clara (mbiemri i vajzërisë Ajnshtajn).^[2] Ai ishte me prejardhje marokene nga ana e babait dhe gjermane nga ana e nënës. Ai u lind në Filadelfia, por u rrit në Boston dhe shkoi në Shkolla Mjekësore në Universitetin Tufts, dhe diplomoi në vitin 1900.^[3]

Ai ishte një nga themeluesit e Shoqërisë dhe Institutit Psikoanalitike e Bostonit, sekretari i parë më 1914 dhe president në vitet 1930-32. Coriat ishte i vetmi analistë frojdian në Boston gjatë periudhës pas vdekjes së James Jackson Putnam.^[4]

Coriat u martua me Etta Dan në vitin 1910. Ai vdiq më 26 maj 1943 pas një sëmundje të shkurtër.
