Jeta e hershme
RedaktoForman u lind në Čáslav, të Çekosllovakisë (sot Republika e Çekisë) nga një familje jevreje dhe nënës protestante. Si fëmijë mbeti jetim pasi që prindërit e tij vdiqën në kampin famëkeq gjerman në Auschwitzu. Babai i tij u burgos pasi që u zbulua se ishte anëtar i Lëvizjes së rezistencës çekosllovake, ndërsa nëna për tregëti të jashtëligjshme.
