Richard Clogg

Richard Clogg (1939, Rochdale) është një historian britanik.

Biografia

Richard Clogg studioi histori në Universitetin e Edinburgut, ku u diplomua si Master në 1963. Nga viti 1969 e në vazhdim, ai jepte mësimdhënien e historisë moderne greke në King's College në Londër, fillimisht si pedagog, pastaj lexues, në fund nga viti 1988 deri në 1995 si profesor i historisë së Ballkanit . Në vitin 1995, ai u bë anëtar i lartë kërkimor, si dhe anëtar i bordit drejtues të Kolegjit St Antony, Oxford .

Kontributi

Vepra më e njohur e Clogg-it A Concise History of Greece (1992) vendosi standarde të reja në këtë fushë, u përkthye në disa gjuhë dhe u nderua me çmimin Runciman në 1993. Vetë Clogg u dekorua me Kryqin e Artë të Urdhrit Grek të Nderit nga Presidenti i Greqisë në 2002. </link>
