Thjerra optike: Dallime mes rishikimesh

 

S₁ dhe S₂ janë respektivisht largësia e objektit nga thjerra dhe e thjerrës nga imazhi që krijohet, për thjerra tek të cilat trashësia është e papërfillshme, të cilat gjenden në ajër. Sipas këtij ekuacioni vlera reciproke e largësisë fokale të thjerrës është e barabartë me shumën e vlerave reciproke të largësisë së trupit nga thjerra (S₁) dhe largësisë së fytyrës nga thjerra (S₂).
