Gejzerët janë të lidhur me [[vullkanet]] dhe mund të jenë aktiv dhe të shuar.Por edhe vullkanet edhe gejzerët janë shumë atraktiv për vizitor. Gejzerët aktiv janë interesant, ndërsa të shuarit janë atraktiv sepse njerëzit mund t’iu ofrohen krejt afër. Gejzerët janë mjaft të përhapur në botë( rreth 5000). Por megjithatë më së shumti ka [[Islanda]] rreth 2000, [[SHBA]], [[Zelandë të Re]] dhe [[Kamqatkë]].
