Gjuha zyrtare e Malt të Zi është [[gjuha malazeze]]. Gjithashtu, në përdorim zyrtarë janë [[gjuha serbe]], [[Gjuha boshnjake|boshnjake]], [[Gjuha shqipe|shqipe]] dhe [[Gjuha kroate|kroate]]. Të gjitha këto gjuhë, përveç shqipes, janë të kuptueshme reciprokisht. Sipas censusit të vitit 2011, shumica e qytetarëve deklaruan gjuhën serbe si gjuhë amtare.
